Privacy Policy

We don't collect anything from you. Phyllon runs entirely on your Mac. Your notes never leave your device.
Data Collection
Phyllon collects no personal data. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:
- Your notes or content
- Usage or analytics data
- Email addresses or account information
- Device identifiers or IP addresses
Where Your Data Stays
All notes are stored locally on your Mac in encrypted form (AES-GCM). The encryption key is kept in macOS Keychain and never leaves your device. When you export, you can save as plain text (.txt) or encrypted backup (.phyllon). Imported files (.txt or .phyllon) are processed locally only. Nothing is sent to our servers because Phyllon has no servers.
Encryption
Notes are encrypted at rest using CryptoKit AES-GCM. The encryption key is stored in macOS Keychain and is unique to your Mac. Encrypted exports (.phyllon) use the same key and can only be decrypted by Phyllon on this device.
Website
