Privacy Policy
Overview
Isochron (“the app”) is an iPhone application that measures the timing of mechanical watches by listening for the tick through the device microphone. This policy describes how the app handles information.
Summary: Isochron does not collect, store, or transmit microphone audio or personal data to Uluer Solutions or any third party. Timing analysis runs on your iPhone. No account is required.
Microphone
The app requests microphone access solely to detect mechanical impulses from a watch placed near the iPhone. Audio is processed in memory on the device. The app does not record sound to disk, does not keep audio buffers after a session ends, and does not send audio anywhere.
Data stored on your iPhone
If you add watches or save measurements, Isochron stores that content locally with SwiftData, including:
- Watch profiles you enter (brand, model, reference, movement, serial number, notes)
- Saved timing results (rate, beat rate, beat error, estimated amplitude, position, timestamps)
- Onboarding and demonstration-mode preferences in UserDefaults
This information stays on your device unless you back up the iPhone through Apple’s own backup mechanisms (for example iCloud Backup), which are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Data we do not collect
The app does not:
- Upload audio, measurements, or watch profiles to Uluer Solutions
- Use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or tracking technologies
- Require an account, email, or other personal information to function
- Share data with third parties
App Store and Apple
If you download Isochron from the App Store, Apple’s standard terms and privacy practices apply to the download. The app itself does not send additional data to Apple beyond what iOS may include in system diagnostics you choose to share.
Children’s privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. It does not collect personal information at all.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
