Features

FTP & FTPS (TLS)

Connect to any FTP or FTPS server. Secure TLS support for sensitive transfers.

Favorites & one-click access

Save server folders as favorites and jump to them with a single click from the sidebar.

Upload from Finder

Right-click files in Finder → Services → Upload to Tancho. Pick a favorite folder and send files without opening the app first.

Upload & delete on server

Upload files to the current folder from the app, or delete files and folders (including recursive directory removal) from the context menu.

Clear folder vs file view

Lists show folders and files in separate sections. Navigate by tapping folders; use “Up” to go back.

How to use

1. Add a server

In the left sidebar, click Sunucu Ekle (or “Add server”). Enter a name, host, port, username, password, and turn on FTPS (TLS) if your server uses it. Click Kaydet (Save). The server appears under “Bağlantılar”.

2. Browse and add favorites

Click a server in the sidebar to see its folders and files. Klasörler and Dosyalar are listed separately; click a folder to open it, or use Üst klasör to go back. Right‑click any folder or file and choose Favorilere ekle to save it; favorites appear at the top of the sidebar for one‑click access.

3. Upload from Finder (right‑click)

To send files to a favorite folder without opening Tancho first:

  1. In Finder, select the file(s) you want to upload.
  2. Right‑click (or Control‑click) the selection.
  3. In the menu, open Services (or Hizmetler).
  4. Click Tancho'ya Yükle or Upload to Tancho.
  5. Tancho opens and shows “Favori klasöre yükle”. Pick a favorite from the list (click once to select it — a checkmark appears), then click Yükle (Upload).

If you don’t see “Upload to Tancho” in the Services menu: Open System Settings → Keyboard → Shortcuts → Services. Under “Files and Folders” (or in the list), enable Tancho'ya Yükle / Upload to Tancho. Run Tancho at least once before using the service.

4. Upload and new folder from the app

When viewing a server folder, use the toolbar: Dosya Yükle opens a file picker so you can choose files to upload to the current folder. Yeni Klasör lets you create a new folder on the server. Right‑click any file or folder in the list and choose Sil to delete it (with confirmation).

The name — Tancho

Tancho is named after the Tanchōzuru (Red-crowned Crane), a Japanese symbol of longevity and grace. Like the crane that carries meaning across distances, Tancho is a reliable carrier that bridges your Mac and your servers — with a calm, focused interface and workflows that stay out of your way.
