Rate in seconds / day
See how fast or slow a movement runs, from a quiet room, 5–15 cm from the microphone.
Free iPhone timegrapher
Isochron measures mechanical-watch rate (seconds per day), beat error, beat rate, and stability through the iPhone microphone. Amplitude is estimated — and labeled that way. Audio is never recorded.

What you get
A timing companion for the watches you wear — not a laboratory claim, and not another subscription.
See how fast or slow a movement runs, from a quiet room, 5–15 cm from the microphone.
From vintage 18,000 BPH to hi-beat 36,000. Beat error in milliseconds — tick versus tock.
Watch the reading settle. Longer sessions raise confidence. Background noise will move the numbers.
Amplitude is estimated from impulse energy and tagged as estimated. Not a bench-machine claim.
Dial up/down, crown up/down/left/right. Compare positional drift before you book a service.
Profiles for brand, model, reference, movement, serial. Each result stays with that watch on this iPhone.
How it works
Isochron listens for mechanical impulses. HVAC, conversation, and desk noise will move the reading — that is physics, not a defect.
Hold it 5–15 cm from the iPhone mic, or rest the crown near it. Start a measurement and wait until the rate settles.
Keep a history per piece. Compare positions. See whether a daily wearer is wandering over days and weeks.

Isochron is for daily checks, positional comparison, and collection records. Rate is measured. Amplitude is estimated. It does not replace a Witschi or a watchmaker’s bench machine.
