ExpiryGuard · Uluer Technology Solutions
Your grocery list and expiry data stay on your device. We do not operate servers that store your pantry contents.
This policy describes how ExpiryGuard handles information when you use the app.
Product names, barcodes, expiration dates, quantities, and categories are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad (Core Data). We cannot access this data. It is removed if you delete the app, subject to your device backup settings.
Barcode scanning and expiry-date OCR run on your device. Images used for OCR are not uploaded to us.
The Chef Ron recipe section suggests meal ideas based on items in your local pantry whose best-before date is within the next 30 days. All matching, scoring, and suggestion logic runs on your device using your own product list. No recipe queries, product names, or expiry dates are sent to our servers or to any third-party recipe service. The "Chef Ron" name and illustration are decorative branding — there is no real account, profile, or external person involved in generating the suggestions.
The app may ask for camera, photo library (for picking images), and local notifications. You can change these in iOS Settings.
The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what third-party ad networks may process as described above.
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date below will change when we do. Continued use of the app means you accept the current policy.
